Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 12 mini Twix bars, chopped
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
- 1/2 cup chocolate ganache
- Twix bars for decoration
Instructions:
Warm your oven up to 350 F 175C and put paper liners in a cupcake tin
Put the cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl and sift them together
Once the butter is soft, add the sugar and cream them together in another large bowl until they are light and fluffy
One at a time, add the eggs and beat well after each one
Add the vanilla extract and mix well
Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing them in with buttermilk every so often
Start with the dry ingredients and end with the buttermilk
Dont mix any further than that
Add the broken up mini Twix bars to the cupcake batter and mix them in well
Fill each cupcake liner about two thirds of the way to the top with batter
In a hot oven, bake for 18 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick stuck in the middle comes out clean
Let the cupcakes cool for 5 minutes in the pan, then move them to a wire rack to cool all the way down
Use a cupcake corer or a knife to cut out the middle of each cupcake once they are cool, then fill them with caramel sauce
To make the chocolate ganache, melt heavy cream and chocolate chips together in the microwave or on the stove
Mix it well, then let it cool down a bit
Let the extra chocolate ganache drip off the tops of each cupcake as you dip them in it
Put mini Twix bars on top and drizzle with more caramel sauce
Have fun with your tasty Twix Cupcakes
