Ingredients:
- 1 box white cake mix
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 2-3 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- White fondant
- Food coloring for bridal dress color
- Silver edible glitter optional
Instructions:
Warm up the oven to 350F 175C and put paper liners in a cupcake pan
Mix the eggs, vegetable oil, water, vanilla extract, and white cake mix together in a bowl
Mix everything together well
Fill each cupcake liner about two thirds of the way to the top with cake batter
After the oven is hot, bake the cupcakes for 18 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick stuck in the middle comes out clean
On a wire rack, let the cupcakes cool all the way down
In a different bowl, use a mixer to make the softened butter smooth
Add the powdered sugar, milk, and almond extract one cup at a time, and beat the frosting until it is light and fluffy
If you need to, add more milk to change the consistency
If you want to decorate the cupcakes, wait until they are cool
Use a dress-shaped cookie cutter or a template you make to cut out dress shapes from the white fondant
You can change the color of some of the fondant to match the color of your choice of wedding dress
Place a colored fondant dress shape on top of each cupcake
Use extra fondant pieces to add details like lace or other decorations
If you want to add a little sparkle, you can sprinkle edible silver glitter on top of the wedding dress cupcakes
