Ingredients:
- 1 medium cauliflower, cut into florets
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-inch ginger, grated
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 1 cup vegetable broth
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked rice, for serving
- Sesame seeds and chopped cilantro, for garnish
Instructions:
Add enough water to a bowl to make a thick batter
Then mix together the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, soy sauce, and rice vinegar
Make sure all of the cauliflower florets are covered in batter when you dip them in it
In a pan, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat
Fry the cauliflower until it is crispy and golden brown
Take it out of the pan and set it aside
If you need to, add a little more oil to the same pan
Add garlic, ginger, green bell pepper, red bell pepper, and green onions and cook them until they smell good
Add the vegetable broth, tomato paste, sriracha sauce, and mix well
Bring to a low boil
Add the cauliflower florets that have been fried to the sauce
Mix the florets and sauce together until the sauce gets thicker
Add pepper and salt to taste
Hot vegan Gobi Manchurian should be served on top of cooked rice
Before serving, top with chopped cilantro and sesame seeds
